EARTHDAY.ORG is a non-profit organization dedicated to valuing the environment, addressing issues that affect our health and communities, educating, and preserving our ecosystem.
Forests are a vital part of the global ecosystem, but we are destroying them at an alarming rate, according to EARTHDAY.ORG: We have lost more than half of the world's tropical forests since the 1960s. In 2019, the world lost an entire soccer field of primary tropical forest every six seconds.
To combat deforestation, EARTHDAY.ORG's Canopy Project works with local partners to plant trees worldwide. Therefore, in line with our values and commitment to the environment, we decided to contribute by donating $500.00 to support this project and plant 500 trees in areas most in need of reforestation due to logging, fires, floods, droughts, earthquakes, and hurricanes. This will help increase habitat for various species and protect our ecosystem.
